I am going to head over to your wordpress and read! I have lots of questions but I am sure in due time I will either love this process or hate it. I wrote down my start and stop times I'll look them over and perhaps uncover clues there. I just assumed my exposure was wrong in camera? But it seems that may not be true now that I am hearing what people are saying. I didn't realize agitation could make a difference. Phew! I can do this! thanks ~jamie

Jamie,
Have a read and then let’s talk details of your process and protocol.
Agitation, temperature, stop and the risk of thermal shock and the quality of clearance makes a difference.
Fundamentally you will always expose for shadows and develop for highlights though.
